Get 3 Bids Before You Buy

This is an essay about getting "bids" on pool installations, which is pretty much a waste of everyone's time.

Unless a builder is being paid to do a complete analysis of the project and take the hours and days required to do a thorough job on creating a budget, then the motivation is to simply come up with a low number and not identify all of the aspects of the project where an assumption can be made that will minimize the costs, without telling the client.
